What does the diet consist of?
The diet consists of having 2 shakes a day, a freshly made salad that is easy to prepare and a premade meal that is organic and all natural using fresh wholesome ingredients. Instead of a salad, you can prepare a meal using allowed ingredients such as most fruits, non starchy vegetables, organic chicken, wild caught fish, organic free range, grass fed beef or lamb, nuts (except peanuts) and seeds, herbal teas and nut or rice milk.
It is an elimination diet and the following foods are not allowed for the first 2 weeks: additives, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, caffeine, corn, dairy, eggs, fruit juice, gluten, grains, peanuts, preservatives soy, sugar, and wheat
The diet is designed to do more than weight loss. It decreases inflammation and detoxifies. It lessens the burden on the liver and aids in restoration of bowel function, digestion and absorption of nutrients. In eliminating foods that cause sensitivities, you not only lose weight; you get relief from many types of symptoms such as acne, asthma, allergies, arthritis, asthma, congestion, bloating, dark cravings, circles under eyes, fatigue, depression, digestive disorders, gas, headaches, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, irritability, insomnia, mental fog, mood swings, and more!
How long does this elimination phase last?
For the first 2 weeks, you will be eliminating additives, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, caffeine, corn, dairy, eggs, fruit juice, gluten, grains, peanuts, preservatives soy, sugar, and wheat. After 2 weeks, you will add foods back one at a time in their pure form and take the symptom inventory. If you have a reaction, you can add the food back in very limited quantities after 1-3 months. Three months is best and most people can have the foods in limited quantities thereafter and will be less reactive. If you do not react, you can continue to eat the food as long as your weight remains stable.
Does this mean I can never eat the foods I reacted to?
Most people, once they heal, lose weight and reduce inflammation can go back to eating reactive foods in limited quantities no more than once in 4 days.
How is this diet different from all of the others?
You can lose weight on any diet, however many will leave you metabolically worse off and you will quickly regain the weight that was lost. This diet offers a diagnosis and treatment of the underlying cause of weight gain. It is designed to get to the root cause of your unique metabolic blocks. Sometimes people hold onto weight because toxins are stored in their fat. They may have food intolerances that are different from allergies. Metabolic issues such as inflammation, high blood sugar or high cortisol the stress hormone can affect weight. Most diets will cause you to lose muscle and leave the underlying cause unaddressed. This causes a rebound effect and you may regain more weight than you lost. The shake and supplements are designed to aid in detoxification, decrease inflammation, restore gastrointestinal health and reset your system so you can determine if you have any food intolerances that are causing weight gain or preventing you from losing weight. It safely removes toxins that are stored in your fat. The shakes are fortified with nutrients to give greater benefits and faster results.
Are there any side effects?
Some people may experience headaches, irritability, weakness or fatigue during the first few days or up to a week. Some may even experience mild flu like symptoms such as headaches, joint aches or change in bowel habits. These are usually very minor and temporary and some people feel fine throughout. If this occurs, take it easy, decrease your activity, reduce stress and drink plenty of water. Generally, after the first week, most people report increased energy, clarity, relief from aches, pains and headache, decreased bloating and gas and other benefits. Everyone is different. It is always wise to consult with your doctor before starting any weight loss or supplement program. This diet is not medically supervised and does not represent a doctor patient relationship. Everyone is unique and if you have any serious medical condition, I suggest you do this under medical supervision. DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS DETOXIFICATION PROGRAM IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR NURSING or under the age of 16.
Who should not do this program?
Anyone with type I diabetes, uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, appendicitis, gallstones or liver disease such as hepatitis or cirrhosis or eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia or pregnant or nursing should not do this diet.
How do I prepare for this diet?
Choose a time when you know you will stick to it. Just commit because there may never be a perfect time if you use that as an excuse. Gather support from family and friends and look out for situations that will derail you. Cut back on sugar, refined carbohydrates, caffeine and alcohol to lessen withdrawal effects. Order the food and supplements. When you know you are mentally prepared and have all of the food and supplements, sign up for the daily emails
If I don’t live in the United States, can I still do the diet?
While the supplements and food are not available outside of the United States, the program is not dependent on using these. You can still benefit. I have seen significant weight loss and vast improvements in health when eliminating certain food. If you post on the Facebook group, I may be able to help you choose products or supplements that are suitable. The Core Restore products in my 20 + years of experience seems to work the best, however something comparable may be available in your country. Choose a non egg, non whey protein powder that is gluten, soy and dairy free as well as whole foods on the shopping list.
Do I have to use the recommended food and supplements?
You do not have to use the recommended food and have the option to cook using the allowed ingredients that are in the packet you will get when you sign up. Use of the shakes and supplements are highly recommended as this combination gives superior results. You are never under any obligation to buy either the food or supplements. Just eliminating certain food may bring you relief from some symptoms and some weight loss. After over 20 years of using and recommending various products I have found that using the Core Restore kit will bring you faster, better and longer lasting results.
I don’t live in the United States, can I get the products and food?
Unfortunately, these cannot be distributed outside of the United States. Wherever you live, organic produce and poultry and wild caught fish may be available. You may be able to find shakes and supplements that are comparable.

Can I exercise during this diet?
You may not feel like doing vigorous exercise during the first week, however gentle exercise like walking, yoga, Pilates or other activity is permitted as tolerated. By the second or third week you may find you have a lot of energy and can resume normal activities.
Do I have to monitor portion sizes?
It is best to learn portion control, however this program focuses more on the quality and less on the quantity of food. You can eat as many non starchy vegetables as you desire and moderate amounts of protein and fat.
If I am going away or it’s not a good time, should I still sign up?
Yes, you can sign up at any time and benefit from the experience of others in the Facebook group. You can start at any time as all sessions will be recorded and you can repeat the diet as often as you like. It is helpful to do this twice a year and once you have all of the materials and do it with guidance and support, you don’t have to pay again.
What happens if I cheat?
It takes at least 2 weeks for your system to reset so if you eat a food that is not allowed, you have to avoid it for 2 weeks before re introducing it.
Can I eat out when on the diet?
Yes, eating out is not difficult at all. Choose from the foods on the list.
Do I have to join the Facebook group?
No. You do not have to join the Facebook group. Many people enjoy the support of a group of people who are going through the same program. Accountability is key and publicly stating your intentions and asking for support is a very powerful tool to stick to any type of goal. You will still get all of the materials and recordings of the Q&A calls and can be successful without joining the Facebook group.
